Comments:
Received DX Engineering 43' Multiband Vertical with remote tuner 3 days before
CQWW. Got it up, 12 radials and the performance was well worth the cost and
time. Still have kinks to work out on 160 and getting the third-party auto
tuner (MFJ) to stay working without constant power resets.
Compared to last year with an Alpha Delta DX-CC Inverted Vee at 30' I saw an
approximate 250% increase for the same time period. This year 96 different
countries with 61 on 15 meters alone. Last year I had 12 on 15.
For very limited space a shortened dipole at a low height cannot do as good a
job as one of these extended multiband verticals. (Opinion)
