Comments:
Woe is me! Missed Oklahoma and Newfoundland/Labrador. Worked three KH6, two KL7,
and one VE8.
Antenna: 66-foot end-fed wire, 20 feet above ground. Elecraft K3, NA software.
I worked K6KR in WWA on Sunday afternoon on 20 and his signal had a fabulous
echo on it, about as much delay as I've ever heard on a signal. Didn't hear any
on anybody else.
In my first SS, 1962, I made 500 Qs in 60 sections (out of 73). It took me 31
hours (over two weekends) so I suppose progress has been made. I think my
antenna then was better than what I have now. But I wouldn't want to go back to
an Eico 720 and a Drake 2B.
This year my Check, 61, was also my age.
