Comments:
For the first time in 4 years, I missed a clean sweep and by a wide margin....
But, I did accomplish my goal of 700 Q's and 100K+ points, so can't
complain.... Worked many loud QRP stations -- Kudo's to these folks and their
antenna systems.... Most interesting Q was obvious casual op K6HRU calling me
on the high end of 20m while running.... He gave me "Southwest CA" as his
section. I explained that I needed his ARRL section and asked that he look it
up. 15-20 minutes later, while still running, K6HRU calls in and gives me
"Orange" as his section. I thanked him for calling and advised he was in ORG.
He thanked me and passed on his 73.... This was good to hear and I congratulate
K6HRU for going the extra mile and helping me with a Q. I expect he did the
same for others armed with the correct section info.... I had only four Q's
where the other op failed to include his callsign in the exchange. However, I
noticed several stations using cut numbers in the exchange -- all legal, of
course, but certainly out of the norm at this point in time for SS. See you in
SS/ssb.... Thanks for the Q's.... 73....//Steve K4EU
