Comments:
Excellent condx on 40 and 80! I never heard NT or NL cq'ing and I never heard
anyone working them. I'm not sure how I missed the pile ups. I heard lots of
QRP stations this time, many of them from WI for some reason.
As usual on the first night it was hard to get any sort of sustained run going
so S&P'ing with both radios was the name of the game for the first three or
four hours. That kept the rate up higher than CQ'ing could. As it got later I
could run high in the band until it was time for some sleep. I got on 40M
Sunday morning and had an epic run high in the band which helped put a lot of
guys in the log in a hurry. The east and west coasts were equally loud and no
QRN!
I added a few new antennas to the arsenal since the last SS and they really
paid off, especially on 40 and 80. I've really been concentrating on improving
my station for domestic contests.
