Comments:
My first CQ WW CW contest and I had a blast, even if I have nothing more then
100w and a G5RV wire antenna!!! I worked 3 new DXCCs prior to the contest as
ops were prepping their stations and worked 3 new DXCCs in the contest. I am
amazed at the speed and accuracy that operators can read my call, even as weak
as it is. That truly amazes me.
Worked a lot of Europe and many Africa stations which is great. Only 1
Australian station and it was on 40m which is a first for me. Surprised I
wasn't able to work any JA stations though I wasn't on the air during the peak
JA time yesterday.
Thanks to all the ops that answered my call no matter how weak it might have
been. Also many thanks to the ops that traveled to far off lands to give me and
the others a multiplier. And a special thanks to my wife who let me play radio
for much of the weekend.
Can't wait for the next one! 73 K2DSL - David
