A fun time for all.
Dan n3nd couldnt make this contest so we decided to go undermanned multi-2
instead of multi-single. My philosophy has been always to go undermanned with
very serious operators rather than lots of part time/inexperienced ops. My
wife can only take about 2-3 beady eyed hams who walk around sleep deprived.
So kudos to ironmen k0luz gary and n4km kevin they really are iron butts...errr
ironmen.
Also big thanks to w4dii dennis who continues to keep these old rickety
antennas that have been up 30 years working.
Short synopsis. 160...tough, no good openings to euro saturday. 80....usual
but slightly better run wise as we did get answers to our cq's for a few hours.
I did work ba1rb that really impressed me as my only other qso with BY was a 449
ear buster. 40....fantastic, kevin had runs that were unbelievable and opened
for runs before sunset. Wildest qso was working jt1c at 330 am local time!!
that is 330 pm probably in mongolia. 20....gary is really happy with improved
antennas on 20 (now 3 stack) biggest 20 qso total ever. 15....just couldnt
wake up to europe like cqww ssb I was hoping kevin would have long euro runs,
not to be. 10....yech...no euros...did anyone squeeze out some european
qso's????
