Comments:
That was a right decision - I have had a real fun with a nice conditions
overall. Some disappointment at the beginning - NA was lower then expected on
Saturday morning but JA/AS/OC all the day long was a great compensation. Some
confusion at the early Saturday afternoon where the LP to USA could take place
- stations was readable from very different directions between 30 and 140
degrees without any significant difference. Sunday morning was better with
relatively late but nice opening to zones 3/4. Great surprise was 5W0KH on my
CQ with huge s9+ signal - vielen dank! And then again nice EU/JA/AS run all the
day long but this time with a nice opening to Z 3/4 early afternoon via the
North Pole (no other chances because of big noise from LP direction). Actually
this was not my first z3/4 run SP in the early afternoon so I was not very
surprised. The loudest one was VG7G - s9+30 dB on S-meter. And then mostly EU
run until around 21.30z with a very nice USA run later on till the end of the
game.
That was great. I'd like to thank everyone for this fantastic weekend - a
superb gift for my birthday (on Saturday :) ). And my big thanks to Peter LY1PM
for his fantastic station and hospitality.
