20M conditions seemed only fair at this equatorial location. Good rates to EU in
the morning and late afternoon, and to the US in the early evening. Propagation
to SA lasted until about 2230, when the band closed for the night. Openings to
the Far East and Oceania were weak in the morning and almost nonexistent on the
evening LP route. Strong D-layer absorption made the band unusable for 6 hours
in the middle of each day, which was largely responsible for 30% fewer QSOs
than my 15M entry in 2007. Equipment: Elecraft K2/100 and Moxon rectangle beam
at 50ft.
