Conditions were good, but not like the CQ160 contest earlier this year.
Saturday night the noise level picked up with the snow. I did beat my score
from last year, hopefully setting new section and division records. Some
sections were tough to find. I couldn't find an NNY station until two called
me within minutes, the only two in the contest for me. At one point I was
considering taking a break and then WY, MB, and ND all called within a few
minutes! I manged to snag PR early Sunday morning as he was S&P. I missed NT,
AK, EB, SB, WTX, and EWA. I never heard any of those sections except for EB
after my sunrise on Sunday. I tried calling NR6O but he couldn't hear me. He
probably had something going on during the weekend because I didn't hear at all
before that. I think WNY out numbered OH or VA this contest, where did all the
WNY stations come from? Thanks for all the Qs and see you in a couple of weeks
in the TBDC.
