Comments:
This was my first Jan VHF SS in about 30 years. Last one used sections not grids
as mults.
No rotatable antennas except on 222. Got the feedline for the 2/222 antenna in
on Friday before the contest but the 2 meter antenna has a high SWR and didn't
seem to be working. The 222 antenna worked really well. We need more activity
on that band.
For 144 and 432 I had to use a vertical ground plane and it's performance was
less than exemplary. On 1296, the 222 antenna worked after a fashion and I was
able to make a few QSOs.
The real 432 and 1296 antennas will go up when the snow melts. The 2 meter
antenna will also be repaired.
Had a good time and hope to see everyone in June.
