FT1000MP, 1 KW, TH6DXX (stuck south), zepp, dipole, inverted vee. All thumbs.
Didn't get the zepp tuned to 40 before the period started. Didn't get the F
keys set up right. Forgot to switch the amp each time I changed bands. Wonder
how I worked anybody at all. 20 was good from TX east at the start. 40 seems
good almost all over, including working two TN stations. 80 seemed as good as
I have heard it to the west coast. Hope for good conditions tomorrow night.
There will be a RTTY contest tomorrow night so we may have to go low in the
band on 40. 73, John, K4BAI.
