Comments:

This was a shorter contest than I had planned. I didn't get on until late on
Saturday. Mistake! I heard -- and skipped over -- some of the west coasters
when I first got on, foolishly thinking I'd catch them later. Wrong!

I S+P'd for the first few Q's, and then ran for the rest of the time. I quit
just before 1200z Sunday when my brain and eyes couldn't quite focus anymore.
PVRC guru W3ZZ is right, B-I-C is the key. When the rates were slow in the
middle of the night, I was called by mults I needed -- SD, ND, etc. As Gene
says, you can't work 'em if you're not in the chair ready to hear 'em.

My plan was to get back on a couple for the last couple of hours on Sunday.
Unfortunately, I never made it.

As a result, I missed half of the W7's: AZ, ID, MT, NV, (and DC) and more than
a a handful of Canadians: LB, NF, PEI, MB, SK, NU, NWT, YT.

As always, it goes without saying that I never heard KL7. Never have... will I
ever? Not unless I can get the receive antennas to work in this very noisy
urban environment. To o much snow and mess -- not to mention lack of time --
to get them up and running. [I did lose my 80m wire to falling/flying branches
during the very unusual 50 mph winds this past week].

No equipment failures or freak outs. Two contests in a row. Amazing.

I had a great time. I've NEVER had 100 or more per hour runs from this station.
Quite a thrill! Thanks to the poking and prodding of my fellow PVRCers, this
contesting game is getting to be fun once again!

See you in the next one!
