First contest with my new G40 (monoband) rig. It is amazing what this little
toy can do. Worked cw only - did not have time to set up another soundcard to
be able to work SSB. Also, first contest with SDR. It is really great when you
can visualize all the signals, both the weak ones, and those with splattering
qro. The band was very crowded, most of the time I was using the 100 Hz filter.
Being new to qrp contesting, I made a lot of small errors. Lost a lot of energy
trying to work UA (east from me) hours before my sunset. I heard so much more
than I was able to call, both dx and some eu who could not hear me. Highlights:
smoothly working TF1CW hours before my sunset, and N2MM answering my cq. Thanks
to all who stayed with me digging out the call and/or the serial number.
