The adventure began one and a half before the contest, this year we had not
planned anything, last year we were doing this contest from the island of La
Palma (ED8R) without time penalties finally decided to improvise and start from
the QTH of EC1KR in AVILA (1hour from Madrid) with easy installation (assemble a
new antennas) and a small Team of operators: EC1KR, EC4DX, EA4AOC, EA4TD and
UY7CW.
We have made great effort to get these results, as Murphy always appears at
these events and we left the station with 100w Miltiplicator Medium Contest,
which multis search has been very laborious.
The dismantling has been entertaining, contest after 48h to 02.00h in the
morning between only 3 operators and having to be at 08.00h on Monday at work.
Today we are quite tired but I think it was worth it.
To thank all colleagues and friends who have helped set up all with their
logistics and support this has been possible, in particular: URE AVILA, RADIO
CLUB HENARES, EA1AR, EA1JJ, EA1IP, EA1ASC, EC4AJS, EC4JD, EA5KM and DH1TW.
