Comments:
I just could NOT get into this contest after 4 consecutive Weekends of
Contesting.
I set up my Logging Computer, reset the clock to WWV, tuned to 15M at 0000Z
where I heard several 6's and 7's and my body just went UGH! I turned down the
volume and worked on QSLing one of the previous contest logs for an hour and a
half.
WPX Phone? YUCK. I turned the dial briefly, for 5 to 30 minutes plus one hour
stint in 6 visits to the contest, finding mostly just the same Big Guns I
worked 3 weeks ago in the ARRL SSB DX Contest, with some Pacific and Asian
stations thrown in to spice it up a bit.
I have ZERO Interest in collecting Prefixes and find Phone Contests to be
increasingly tedious. Clearly my DXer - Contester Pendulum is stuck on the
DXer side.
At least the Weather was Nice and finding 3B9WR and S79GM on 80M CW with true
599 signals was refreshing. Hopefully I can find some helpers to repair /
replace ALL of my broken / damaged MonoBanders.
