Just realized that I did my first FD 40 years ago, as a teenager in 1970. After
doing the last few years entering Class 1B, I think I need a FD roadie!
Tried a couple new antennas this year, a single el 40m quad (40x30 rectangle)
and 20m coaxial dipole, in addition to the old favorite my G5RV. Did 90% of my
contacts on 40 & 20 due to high QRN on 80 overnight, if it wasn't S9+20 I
couldn't hear them. Had a line of thunderstorms come through right at 1800z
Sunday, gave me an excuse to catch a nap before I had to tear the station
down.
