Comments:

This was certainly a fun contest as there was good E-skip on 6 both days. It
started out with flat conditions on 6, but there were so many local stations on
not wanting to miss out on anything, that rates were still pretty good for the
first couple of hours. Things started to heat up in the early evening hours
Saturday with prop mostly to EM grids. Went for shut-eye about 11 PM local and
did the usual scatter around 6 AM. It wasn't long before 6 was hopping again
with good prop to EM, EL, and some DM, DN, and DL, including three XEs. Not
much shorter skip to EN or southern FNs. Best DX was a lone west coast Q in
CN87, northwest Washington State. Checked for EU a few times but didn't hear
anyhing....could have missed it. The last few hours were pretty sparse as six
pretty much died. On two meters best DX was FM06 and W3SO was in solid from
FM00. Stations in close were always louder on 2 than 6. Didn't work any
Canadians. Glad KA2LIM in FN12 was finally heard in the last hour good for
contacts on both bands. And leave it to Joe, W1JR, to show up in the last two
minutes of the contest, causing a scurry of quick Qs by alert listeners.
