Comments:

What a great way to spend Saturday afternoon, evening and Sunday morning. A big
thanks to Jack, Nate and Alan for making this another fun NAQP.

We were all optimistic that 15 meters would deliver much more than it did.
Unless we missed it, that opening was not to be found in our part of NA. Same
with 10. Fortunately, Nate and Alan found a brief opening between 2100 UTC and
2200 UTC while moving from back and forth between 15 and 10 that got us a few Qs
and Mults. That same 2 hour period also delivered our best rates on 20 meters.
Even with a few good runs, 20 meters was OK, but nothing great from here. It
was not until moving to 40 did we see the rate meter finally jump up. Jack had
a few excellent 200+ rate bursts that resulted in the overall best hour of the
event. That hour really helped increase both the Q count and Mult count. Nate
enjoyed the same great rates on 40 when taking over the right chair op position
from Jack. Alan and I were swapping left chair Op position and putting up with
the very heavy QRN on 80 and 160. Even with the, less than excellent, band
conditions we managed to improve our 2009 totals on both bands.

Thanks to everyone in our log, the few that we worked on all 6 bands, and
especially to those that moved for us. As always the mult count appreciates you
taking the additional time to help. This year we were able to increase our 2009
mult count and score, but fell short of last year's Qs by just a few.

And last, but not least, it is time for the N1LN - NC4KW contest food update.
Once again we would like to thank Chef Archie (aka: W0UCE, Jack) for making
this contest a culinary delight. Archie made an OUTSTANDING entree' of Chicken
Cordon-bleu served in a white wine sauce and accompanied by two salad
selections, Italian bread, and of course a few more glasses of wine. I happened
to be operating while dinner was cooking. My rate was crappy - but, the aroma
coming out of the kitchen into the ham shack was wonderful.

Due to a family commitment we won't be on for NAQP-SSB. Hope the weather is
excellent and all the bands are open.

73,
Bruce - N1LN
(aka: NC4KW)
