Another part time effort, but a good time waster.
I don't do much SSB contesting as my weak antennas really show their flaws! 15
was good both days; 10 and 20 both disappointed but I must admit that golf,
movies and a Saturday night party really interfered. 40 was good Sunday evening
and the roof mounted Butternut vertical showed a big improvement in signals over
the 80M OCF wire on that band. For a 'lil station (400W max), having
a vertical is a cheap addition and often means the difference between logging
the contact and not. 160M never got cranking - qrn was terrible here in SFL.
