Comments:
First CQ WW phone from new QTH. Again completely portable or maybe mobile
operation from my car in typical autumnal weather conditions. Temperature not
exceeded 9 degrees of Celsius over day and zero degrees over night. Last
contact was second day at 17:30 UTC when was detected cranking battery problem
on my car. Probably lost last opening to State side and some mults. But I had
to charge battery for car diesel engine start. But how, when dont have charger
or second car with cranking cables and my location is slightly far of next
buildings or people ? Dont ask me how happened it, but this lines have been
written from my home backround :-)
The contest was nice as usual. Propagation conditions were better first contest
period. I had over 1000 qso's after first period. Nice long-path opening second
day separately to VK/ZL and South America. Also nice to hear from FR1LB, that
you are the first contact of this contest :-)
I have to definitely say that todays contesting is not only about total number
of antenna elements, total antenna height, local terrain profile, but also
about local noise level which affects how many weak signals will you listen to.
It is amazing to have chance for compare differences btw typical city location
and small willage location.
Equipment:
