Comments:
You say you live in a ham radio challenged area, attic antenna, in a valley? NO
PROBLEM! One word...RBN!! (Reverse Beacon Network) Talk about a paradigm shift!
No need to run stations anymore, just set-up SO2R(or single radio) with RBN and
jump around on the bandmap. Let the big guns focus on trying to pull YOUR signal
out.
Until Sunday morning I worked almost all stations S&P by jumping around on the
bandmap and it was going good....then at 9:09AM Sunday, RBN started
disconnecting....and disconnecting. Substituted a couple other telnet streams
but the volume was way down.
A great time, my first time operating from home assisted. It was neat to track
some of the high scoring single ops around using RBN as they sure got around. I
thought conditions were good other than 40m going long fast.
