Comments:

This year was only marginally ahead of last year's score.

SLOW START: I was there at the gun. Well-rested and ready. But, for some
reason I just couldn't get any good rate going.
Some soul searching may yield the answer. I already have some ideas.
Like George (W0UA) said in his soap box comments: "You never get back what you
don't get in the first hour."
And once you fall behind, you dread hearing the other Q stations' numbers!

80 METERS: I was trying to make more Q's on 80 - and I did - but I think it was
a mistake.
I wanted to duplicate what the midwest and southeast QRP stations have been
doing on 80 meters. Fat chance.
At night from out in the West I think we 5 watt guys have to stay focused on 40
and just do second radio S&P on 80.

15 METERS: From Colorado 15 was open to just parts of the east coast (and one
OH station and one WV station).
Therein lies the dilemma: 15 meters goes too long and we can't work all those
midwest 0's, 9's and 4's and 5's.
So we have to go stay on 20 and keep trying to get something going down there.

MISSED SECTION: NL
(S&P'ed plenty but never heard)

SO2R is such challenge. Still a long way to go.
Moved to a MicroHAM micro2R box (USB). Its nice.
Each year I get better at SO2R - but it is a slowly evolving mental process.

N1MM Logger software: THANKS to everyone who has worked on that project!

COMPARED TO PAST 5 YEARS: QSO's are generally increasing: 600 (2005); 684
(2006); 610 (2007); 648 (2008); 724 (2009);
now 746 (2010), before any penalties.
My dreams of going over 800 QSO's will have to wait. (just like the Clean
Sweep)

POLITENESS: We QRP stations are a particularly sensitive lot.
We know who picks on us little guys to steal run frequencies.
In 24 hours of operating - nobody did that.
These CW SS operators are the best.

I am very grateful to Robb, N0RU, who again invited me up into (onto) the
mountains to operate his station.

RIGS: K2 & Omni 6+

ANTENNAS: TH-7; TH-2 fixed to NW; TH-7 fixed to NNE; Cushcraft 40 mtr 2 el
yagi; Hy-Tower; 80 meter Zepp
Such a treat to have switchable antennas - especially when you are QRP.
Some W6 & W7's might have wondered if I had turned on an amp - but I just
switched to another beam or the Hy-Tower. Their signals popped up about 20 db.
