Comments:

This was a casual effort with a simple set-up, focused on having fun and on
seeing what kind of shape 15M is in these days. From here in the northeast,
propagation to Western and Central Europe was good on Saturday and the band
stayed open for QSOs with JA for awhile in the evening, but on Sunday Europe
closed early and late in the afternoon only a few of the super-stations in JA
were heard (and none worked). Propagation to UA1/3/4/6 was poor on both days.

Though propagation on 15M doesn't feel like it's where it should be, there were
some notable moments over the weekend. One was when 3W1M came banging on on
Saturday morning on long path. Another notable moment came on Sunday afternoon
when the band opened early (shortly after noon) to the Pacific and in one
segment of about 20 kc one could hear CQ'ing from FO8RZ, ZK2A, ZL7VR, ZL8X and
a handful of ZL1/3/4 stations. It's great to see the band open for that path
with that level of activity.

Off and on I jumped up onto 10M and it was great to hear the band open to
Europe. Perhaps there is hope yet.

One big improvement this year was a noticeable drop in dupes; all these
computer loggers are finally having an impact on their operators.

Radio was a K3, primary antenna was a single M2 15M6 at 50', back-up antenna
was a Bencher Skyhawk (also at 50' on a separate tower). Software was N1MM.

See you all next year.

Mike
