This was my first ever attempt at this contest and I had a ball. I just
installed a new 2 element phased array on this band and wow! This thing played
well. I had Europe calling me solid at 2am Sunday morning for quite some time.
Several commented on my signal. Just when I thought EU had died out, at
5:30am, I had a GW3 call me with good signal. Another fun moment was breaking
the ZL8X on first call in a big pile up. I also installed a RX 4-Square and it
picked stations out of the noise easily. There were only a handful I could not
get. Antenna hard work seems to have paid off. I'll keep coming back and
improve on this contest.
