Comments:
I forgot that this contest is in two sections....part I like and the part I
don't. I would say the first 10 hours is the first part. After that, it is very
difficult to get any rate or keep going.
This was by far my best start and I thought for sure it would be a good total
when done. Well it certainly is a personal best, but I meant way more qsos than
this. There was one period of time when I was running, that I thought that
stations might be calling someone else because of the timing...I listened but
could not hear anyone on the freq. But I know that there had to be someone that
was not in my hearing, working stations that we both could work. I wonder how
many q's and penalties that will be. I never had that happen before.
I had an amazing amount of duplicate qsos. I worked about 60! I never said a
word but I sure am wondering how many people either worked someone else (my
loss of qso plus penalty) or never got the call right or don't use any sort of
logging software.
Always good to run into friends! Lots of good cw operators on the band. 113 5
point qsos. 123 is most multipliers I have ever worked in this test. I heard an
HB9 call after switching through the Beverage positions, only to not wait for my
response! Missed NT. I will just remember the first 10 hours and be back next
year.
