I'm just a little "pea shooter" station here, but this is such a fun contest
for this little housewife from NH. Baking cakes by day and hamming/contesting
at night!!!! 160 what a cool band!!! There are not many times when I can
call cq with my 100 watts and hold a freq for more than 30-40 minutes in a big
contest I don't have a lot of chances I'm not in "high demand" as an op (can't
even get a seat for field day at my own former local club without rolling eyes)
so this is a cool contest for me...I get to run..yippie!!!!!!!!!! I"m
inexperienced, but, doing much, much, better. And to that "sweetie" who
called me a LID not once but twice after I had a lot of trouble getting a
call...remember not everyone is an A1 op, a FOC'er, or has been in the hobby
since they were 12 years old...it's like someone blaring a horn at you when
your car is stalled out and you are doing all you can to get into drive
again....it frazzles the driver even more...it doesn't speed things up!!! I'm
looking forward to Stew Perry and CQ160....just luv' this band!!!!! Wow...lots
of "neighbors" the total on fellow NH stations were 10..yikes I had no idea
there were that many of us out there!!!! Thanks to all of you who hang in
there with me....I APPRECIATE your support!!! It's so nice to hear from calls
I know when I run...like N1ZZI, W2SH, W2LJ, N4SAM...you guys are so cool,
supportive and patient thanks!!!!! 73/88 Ann!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
