This is one of my favorite contests, especially during the lower parts of the
solar cycle. This year was a different experience operating (neighbor
friendly) QRP with a decent 3 element beam and horizon. I expected to hear
many stations that I couldn't work and although not disappointed in that, there
were several unexpected successes that really highlighted the nature of 10
meters. I basically 'tried' every signal I heard and although I didn't keep
track, it felt like I had well over a 50% success rate. The fast paced nature
of the openings was a lot of fun to listen to as well.
