Comments:

There were a couple of visits by Murphy before the contest. First was a cold
that laid N7BV down for the count for two weeks, then as it broke along came an
Arctic blast and 14-18 inches of snow Tuesday before the contest. This made
walking through the woods to put up a beverage rather dangerous.

On Friday the crew assemble by 1100 with plans to effect two antenna projects
-repair the North 80m Sloper and put up a beverage. So while K7MO, and K7LAZ
installed equipment for the second station, N7BV and K7WA and AE7EG set off to
effect the repair, also raise the the crankup tower to full height.

After a lunch break it was decided not to attempt the Beverage installation,
because of the snow - no twisted ankles etc were needed. This was a good
choice as it started sleeting rain an hour befoe the contest which would have
made working outside even worse.

During the contest Murphy was kind to us. We had a few hic-cups with N1MM and
K7LAZ station which settled down by hour two.

Experienced hearing a lot of EU's on 80m but not able to crack the QRM level
over there. We enjoyed the 15m and 10m openings. 20m, with the 4el 204ba was
in use from the crack of dawn until it faded out. Of note we worked ZL8X on
all bands 160-10m.

And to all of our wives who put up with much for us our hobby, thank you.

73 Chuck
