Comments:
I didn't do nearly as well as I did last year. First, I had a dinner engagement
Saturday night that I could not get out of. Second, my PW-1 amp is back at ICOM
for major repair. So this year I operated low-power (unassisted) for I think
the first time in over 40 years. I do have another amp which is used for the
2nd radio but I elected to leave it turned off this year.
I really missed that amp as I called many of you and you just kept right on
cqing.
Last year I operated for 22 hours, had over 1200 Q's and 63 countries for a
score of 150,000 or so. So the amp really does help!
I did manage to get a mini-run going on 40M Sunday evening with a dozen or so
European stations ending up in my log.
