Comments:
My plans to travel to W7RN for a M/2 were canceled due to Winter Storm Warnings
(heavy snow in Reno) and other operator cancellations, so instead I ended up
operating from home in the most relaxed way I could think of: one radio, one
band, no packet, and plenty of sleep at night.
I was hoping that the European openings would be better and last longer, but
alas, that was not to be, as you can see from the statistics below. It was an
enjoyable relaxing contest nonetheless.
Most fun was being called by 9V1YC and YS1GR for two new mults in the last hour
of the contest. Thanks!
Rig: Elecraft K3 and Alpha 87A
Also used the new Elecraft KPA500 500W Amp. (Field Test unit),
but decided after 30 minutes that it working fine, and I'd feel
better having the extra 4.77 dB from the Alpha. :-)
