Comments:
Life has been a little crazy for me lately, and I want to thank Ken N6RO for
making it possible for me to do what I love to do with limited time despite
crazy conditions at home.
Because of odd schedules we chose to do a "Semi-serious" multi on this. Its
always an honor to do low band contesting with N6RO. He has a a magical way of
making contacts happen and I learn more from him every time we do this.
This is a mysterious band. Sometimes good.. some times not so. This contest
was no different but hey! there is nothing like a good SSB DX contest on top
band from W6 right?
Several noteable absent canadian provinces.. No real spectacular eu openings
from here but at least got most of the expected non european mults.
Propagation was quite spotty to the east coast as well most of the time.. and a
couple of the rarer states seemed to pop in for only a short time. Noteable DX
spot from JA reminds us how nice it would be if they were allowed to use ssb on
160. Used the 4 square antenna for both TX/RX as beverage system was recently
damaged by storms so if we had trouble hearing you or didnt answer, our
apologies. Also have a local QRN source that was causing some issues.
Thanks again to Ken N6RO for the opportunity, wisdom and chair time. Its good
to be back in the game and thanks to all for the qso's!
