Comments:

FT-990 to DX Engineering 43' Vertical, MFJ Tuner at base, 32 Radials.
160-80-40M Alpha-Delta DX-LB Inverted Vee for "close in" contacts, not readable
on those bands under 1000 miles with Veritical.

Year-to-Year fewer QSO's, more mults and less time for about 10,000 point raw
score over 2010 improvement.

The solar conditions once again made EU contracts very difficult, and Asia was
also affected here. The A-Index Sunday at 36 with enduring K-5 Index
complicated stategy, 10 was barely open at this latitude.

Several nice runs were possible on 40 and 20 (40 Qsos in 35 min on 40)and (44
Qs in 35 min) respectively best times, others a little shorter - all seemed to
be on a base QPH of 60 - not barn-burner, however, low power, no directivity
performance is acceptable.

Assisted operation was chosen to compensate for the general low signal level
given the absorption. I was spotted only 7 times ... again a testament to the
concept that low power can work out competively amongst the big guns.
