Comments:
Between spending extra time with the YL on her birthday (that's kinda
important...isn't it? :>), and the monsoon storms coming in over the
Superstition Mountains, my previously planned operating time was severely
restricted. Got home from a movie and dinner at around 7PM, saw the approaching
storm clouds, and disconnected everything. I thought it would blow over and I
could do some late night/early morning operating, but the lightning, rain, and
wind kept up all night.
For me, again a largely domestic contest. 10M was in and out...a few SA and OC
worked, 15M seemed to shut down early...a few JA's worked , 20M had a little
weak, fluttery EU in the early afternoon, and 40M had tons of static. Never got
on 80M. I don't think propagation was too friendly for a screwdriver antenna
:>)
Still had fun for the little time operated...hope everyone did also. I'll try
to make a better showing next year. Look forward to meeting everyone at
Rustlers Rooste!
