Comments:
Wasn't sure what to expect in this one. I've never done a single op mixed mode
before, so I just winged it. 20m never really popped over the pole like I had
hoped, so it was tough going on the "runs" that did show up. I was hoping to
get some nice DX runs on 20, but didn't get anything more than some DX thrown
in with the stateside hoards. On the other hand, the JA's on 40m SSB were
fairly plentiful.
Mixed mode two radios was easier than I expected, but definitely had my share
of goof ups while figuring it out.
Had hoped for better conditions, but the rate was plenty high even if they
weren't 5 pointers. Overall, this was one VERY fun contest!!!
Thanks to Joe for keeping the station open during a normal non-contest time of
year, and for keeping me from going hungry!
Congrats to the big scorers despite poorer than expected conditions.
