Comments:

Good overall time utilization. 9 official hours on the air (took the kids to the
store; made and ate supper; read bedtime stories), spread fairly equitably on
the bands where I could hear anything hopping.

Didn't spend much time on 15M but every time I went for a listen there were new
ones. I spent like 10 seconds listening to 10M but didn't hear anything maybe
should've spent a little more effort there.

I heard Hawaii (40M) and Alaska (20M) but could not work them. I could hear
lots of other stations trying to work them but not getting through either. Also
missing WV and DE, I didn't hear at all. Did I just miss N8NA, my DE lifeline
for every contest the past many years? Amazingly I got WY via WO7X on 80M, he
was coming through loud (he must have some astonishing 80M antenna, this
happens every contest), and ND via KC0W/M on 40M. And SD, another traditional
tough one for me, was easy with me hearing N0SXX all over the place.

I had excellent CQ-ing runs on 20, 40, and 80. 40 in particular was the
moneymaker.

There were storms moving through the area and QRN on 40M and 80M but it didn't
slow much down. Lots of good QSO's to the west coast. Certainly 80M wasn't
heavily favored by me like in the winter NAQP's but this gave 40M a good chance
so I didn't feel anything was lost. Lots of times in the winter NAQP's I seem to
miss all the good opportunities on 40M because I'm either dawdling on 20M or
just racking them up on 80M.

Old rig (TenTec Triton - almost 40 years old!) lost me a couple QSO's when
relay or switch contacts flaked out. Maybe next time around I'll have a new rig
and get a couple QSO's on 10M and 160M.
