Comments:
The previous few nights featured excellent propagation from here to Russia, so I
was pretty excited about the contest. The SFI increased to 101 and the K index
dropped to 0, so should be perfect. Unfortunately, still had some remnants of
aurora as the path to Russia was directly over the north pole (350deg to
10deg). This made many contacts difficult and fluttery. Still, I had my best
RDAC ever, by far, with almost 6 times last year's score. Didn't hear a peep
on any other band than 20m, and I did listen frequently throughout the day.
Also had a few problems with N1MM, which hasn't happened in a long time. It
froze up one time as it put in my callsign as an entry?! Also, it refused a
couple zones, so could not enter them in the log. Managed to put one in via
edit mode, but it assigned 0 points. Will let the log adjudicators sort that
out.
Was a fun contest and hope to see even better condx next year. Spaceba!
