Comments:
Got first antenna up about 2 hours before contest. Got second antenna up in the
middle of the night Friday night during the contest. Took advantage of a break
in the rain and the full moon (about 1 AM local). Lots of rain but that made
the line noise quiet.
Lost the amplifier (smoke in HV circuit) during Saturday morning Europe run.
Got a different amplifier out of storage but it didn't work. Figured out a
wire that had come loose (HV to plate). Repaired, then operated with that amp
the rest of the way. Only lost 1 hour. It was good when band was open, but
opened late and closed early. Nothing to JA or Pacific except KH6. DX mults
way down.
