Comments:
Not too bad for a lid.
The tx antenna seems much improved. Lots better response to runs. The first
few hours had me at 270Q's. But the next 323 took 15+ hours....
Zero EU here on Saturday. Heard CS at sundown, but only a few whispers after
that.
Sunday was better, and I managed to find a few Eu stations calling that did not
have pile-ups. The EI station was 559 here, with no one calling him. He must
have great ears too.
More butt in chair time helped with the Q count, but a lot of the credit goes
to TX antenna improvements made at suggestion of K2AV. It sure seemed like I
made a whole lot fewer fills and repeats for the other guys.
Both nights RX here was much better on the K9AY, a 4 S-unit difference in noise
levels. Lots of 9's in FL....despite a mild winter. :o
Can't remember working so many NY stations.....
