Thanks all for calling in !
This 2012 version turned out to be a real struggle..especially first night,
only 15 or so US/VE's...an all time low...luckily the second night was a bit
better (120 or so).
We almost had to end the contest already at the start: our 100 ft vertical went
down at erecting the thing (by accident the pull up winch switched on ... and it
was stronger than the tent pins on the opposite sideâ?¦). After some forced
bending and welding a more or less straight, but slightly shorter vertical
became available... No time left though for setting up the JA beverageâ??s..
Managed to work some nice DX, unfortunately HK0NA was buried under continues
calling stations, although they had a good signal.
Has been a very nice contest and see you in 2013 !
