Comments:
Interesting Contest. 5 watts to "cloud warmer" antenna (especially on 80 and
40) parts for a homemade beam still in the garage. Was surprised at 20 and 15
on the first afternoon, even 10 was ok. Sunday afternoon the "loud" station on
20 and 15 were mainly those I had worked the day before, and "fresh meat" was
over run with pileups that were impossible to break through with a pipsquoke
signal. 10 did "OK" for a while, but ran out of "loud stations who could hear
me). Did manage to break through some of the pileups - perhaps because the 80
metre center fed antenna had some lobes which gave some gain. Gave up a couple
hours early because the rate was geting down to the frustration level.
Had a few questions about N1MM longger which I resolved by brute force, but it
treated me reasonably well.
Was nice to hear some of my friends who operate QRP plugging away!
