Comments:
All five ops from the Willamette Valley crossed the mountains to central Oregon
where we set up at my son-in-law's family cabin on Fall River near LaPine, OR.
Murphy mostly found others to bother this weekend -- wx was nice while we set
up, but rained lightly next two days. All equipment functioned with very
little tweaking. Biggest concern was networking 4 stations with N1MM -- even
that went relatively smoothly. Our team always travels with it's own chef
(Mark N7MQ) so meals were as enjoyable as the pileups.
While condx were not great, we all had plenty of radio fun with three modes to
play with. The new Inrad Triplexer was amazing -- up to 3 radios into one coax
to a Spiderbeam for 20/15/10! Worked great, but didn't get a chance to use it
on 10M -- just nothing to work.
Tnx to all for another fun FD weekend,
de Rock NE7D for Jon, Jim, Mark and Brian
