My new personal best, in this contest. For the last 3 years, I've operated from
a portable location, a rented cottage on a lake, in the Rideau Waterway of
southern Ontario, using my Elecraft K3, and a 3-element 40 Meter collinear
array, about 200 feet long. This antenna tunes up on all bands ... and is a
killer on 40M!
A pleasant surprise was to see 15M open up, the only time I had QSOs on that
band in my 3 weeks by the lake this year.
My other personal best this year was the 18-inch smallmouth bass I caught,
using a floating plug ... it's now in the hands of the taxidermist!
