Comments:
Originally it was planned that I spend my summer vacation together with my
grandmother in beautiful S5, and there were no intention for contesting in WAE
at all. Plans changed and I had to go alone. So, time for contesting. I asked
Tine, S50A, if there is any chance for joining a Multi operation or getting a
station for SOP. And so I ended up at S59ABC in Maribor. A big thank you to
Marko, S51DS, and Velko, S57VG, for their support before and during the
contest.
The station is located at a very beautiful spot on top of a mountain with a
great round view towards S5 and OE.
For technical equipment there was an FT2000, 1 Optibeam for 10m - 40m, 1 dipole
for 80m and 1 beverage for 80m towards USA.
Even though I do contesting for years, this was the first time I took part in
WAE and the "game of QTCing". It was a great experience. I was begging all the
time. Thanks to everyone for calling and giving QTCs.
