Comments:
Part time S&P effort, other projects around the house needed to be done. But so
far my highest SSB score to date. I am more excited about the upcoming CQ WW CW
contest.
Wow, 10M on Sunday were amazing. I also got a chance to work top band (160M)
for a change, which was all done at 100 Watts. Sunday early AM the top band was
best time for me.
Got to hear a couple of AGC members working the pile ups. This is the first
contest were I had to really crank up the power to work the pile ups. Friday
night I got hammered by the competition with all their beam antennas. I
normally only crank up the amp to about 600 Watts, but I found the only way to
break the pile up was run at 1KW, which I try to usually avoid. My lowly
inverted L which is nornmally working good for me did not compete well.
