Comments:
That was fun. Goal was 2m, thought that was a pipe dream - turned out it
wasn't. When i had equaled my Qs from the ARRL DX at 20z on Sat and had 1m at
00z knew I could get there absent a major flare. Sun zulu was better for me
than Sat. 40 Sat night was terrific.
Lots of highlights. UN and VU coming back to a CQ on 20 in the 2nd hour gave
me motivation. Think those were the only answers I got on 20. 10 was amazing.
Had only a small run on Sat but was able to S&P at nearly 100/hr. Had a good
run on Sun, best hour was 126. 10 always had Qs and mults available, hurt my
totals on the other bands but probably not my total score.
160 and 80 were incredibly disappointing. Missed a lot of 'easy' mults on 20
and 40. Slept 4 hrs each night, plan was for 2-3 but couldn't get up. That
hurt as i missed some prime multiplier time but in the long run the sleep
probably helped as i felt good for the whole contest and never really zoned
out.
Planned antenna improvements didn't happen and I considered doing something
else than all band but with condx like this it was a terrific contest. helps
the smaller station when all bands are open and everyone is more spread out.
Time to put the mic back on the shelf. CW should *really* be a blast!
