Comments:

Well, two roadtrips this weekend (3 if you count Friday night) had me very busy
putting miles on the car and away from the radio.

Instead of mounting a serious effort I decided to do something
silly...something I almost NEVER do,. given my currently poor antenna farm.

Operate QRP !

OK, this wasn't the smartest thing in the world to do. To make my 100 Q's took
me 4 hours of slugging....I don't understand how someone can be 40/9 here and I
couldn't even get a QRZ from them. I called CQ a bunch but think only 1 person
ever called me, thus I can say this was 99% S&P....about every 4th or 5th
station I could raise...even if they were really loud.

I tried for a bit late Sunday night after my long 14 hour day on the road, but
tuned nearly the whole bottom of 80m and couldn't get one single soul to answer
my pleas, so I quickly gave up. . . .<sniff> . . . hi hi ;-)

I have a new found respect for the QRP operator !

IC-746 @ 5 watts and a mish-mash of el-stinko wire antennas.
N1MM, WInKeyer USB

72 de Mike. . . .QRO next time? You bet !
