Comments:

It was great to put the W0EEE call sign on the air again after more than (cough,
cough) 30 years! Nice to see a few alumni check in (W0EEE is the club call of
the Missouri Univ of Science and Technology, a.k.a. Univ of Mo - Rolla or
Missouri School of Mines to OTs) Sterling N0SSC and I used my home station
about 30 miles from the university for the contest, entering M instead of S
because the club does have an active station.

The station is a work in progress: TS-590/IC-7000 with HF2V (40/80), a pair of
extended double zepps for 20/15/10, and a Bravo 7 vertical on 10. Obviously,
the 10 meter antennas didn't get much of a workout!

It was a lot of fun trying to keep up with KX9X and KI1U at W1HQ (also M-LP)
and we are just barely ahead by four QSOs. Our sweep came very quickly with
lots of VE3 and NJ stations to lessen anxiety about that - the last one in the
log was KY at 0530Z - allowing us to focus on calling CQ and not obsessing over
any missing sections.

Look for W0EEE from the club station in the Phone Sweeps - thanks for all the
QSOs.

73, Ward N0AX and Sterling N0SSC
