Comments:
I had a tough time with this contest. My second tower is still in the trees
where it fell a few months ago during a tornado. I used the other tower with
one rotary beam and two yagis fixed northeast. They were way too high for the
conditions (Lowest at 90 feet). Then I missed the first half hour because I
was thinking daylight savings time! Then all went dead at about 4:00 pm local
on Saturday. I had to climb and repair the relay box on the tower. NO MORE
relay boxes on the tower! That took about 1 1/2 hours to fix. Other than those
things, I felt good about the contest. Next year I will be back! It was fun,
although it was slow some of the time. I had about 1/2 of the score I had last
year. More longpath than I expected.
