Comments:
Decided to use my 10 hours in a straight shot from 1800z to 0359Z, assuming
(rightly) there would be little gained by saving operating time for 160 meters
in the late night hours. Otherwise this was the usual wild and woolly affair
with the eternal challenge of maximizing QSO count while optimizing multiplier
count. Glad 10 meters was open for a while at the beginning. Quirky
experiences from my end included plenty of Cuban participants, but no one from
Rhode Island; oodles of VE5s but not a single VE1, VE4 or VO; a lady named
Victoria at WW0WWW in ND with world-class CW skills; and plenty of
consternation if your first name did not match the electronically stored
operator information.
Had fun. Thanks for the QSOs. Chris, K5LH
Rig: Omni V (90 W), wire dipoles, Aether for Mac.
