Comments:
New personal best for this contest. . . previously 159,120 in Jan 2005. Was
going to give up 3 hrs to 49er football [we don't subscribe to TV, so would
have gone to Sports Grill to watch) but couldn't resist NAQP with personal
high score possible. So XYL went to watch football on her own. Hoping next
week's game is Sunday.
I skipped over 80 and went directly to 160 meters at 0400Z, i.e. closer to W
Coast sunset. This was a good strategy, as conditions were worse for East
Coast in the last 20 minutes. Thus I was able to work some east coast on 160.
Took one 2 hour break at 1800-2000 PST.
One station worked on 6 bands, W2FU in NY.
10 meters was a QSO factory, including QSO with the Locust, K6VVA, from C6. NA
countries worked . . C6, CO, HI3, XE, KP2, KP4.. Canada pretty well represented
with NL, NB and NS. VE9AA especially, and good multi band coverage for VE2, VE4
and VE5, which are often difficult.
